MORE THAN A GAME EXPO
Toronto Game Expo is where gaming, creativity, collecting and community come together.
With over 600 exhibitor tables and thousands of fans, our twice-yearly event brings together everything from retro video games and rare collectibles to indie developers, cosplay, tournaments, free-play gaming and unforgettable fan experiences.
Whether you're hunting for a childhood favourite, discovering your next favourite game, meeting talented creators or simply sharing your passion with fellow fans, there's something waiting for you at Toronto Game Expo.
More than a show. Everything you love, under one roof.
Our Origins
Toronto Game Expo began with a simple idea: bring people together through their love of gaming.
In 2015, Chris Hodgson and Darby Queiser launched Barrie Game Exchange (BGE), a grassroots video game swap meet built around buying, selling and trading games and collectibles. What began as a community gathering grew into one of Canada's largest events of its kind.
As BGE continued to grow, so did our vision.
Inspired by major gaming conventions and fan events, we wanted to create something that went beyond a traditional marketplace — a place where collectors, gamers, creators, cosplayers and families could come together for an entire weekend of discovery and entertainment.
Toronto Game Expo was founded in 2022 and launched its first event in March 2023.
Today, TGE takes place twice a year at Exhibition Place in Toronto, bringing together hundreds of exhibitors and a growing community of fans. While the show continues to evolve, our commitment to the community that started it all remains the same.

A Message from Chris & Darby
We didn't set out to create just another convention. We wanted to build something that brought people together through the things they love.
What started as a small community swap meet has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined, and it's the passion of our exhibitors, creators, guests and attendees that continues to drive us forward.
We're proud of what we've built, but we're even more excited about what's still to come.
Thank you for being part of the Toronto Game Expo community.
See you at the show!
