The Toronto Game Expo (TGE) is the city’s premier event for gaming and pop culture enthusiasts! Held twice a year, TGE unites gamers, collectors, cosplayers, comic fans, and anime lovers for an unforgettable two-day experience filled with excitement, nostalgia, and community.

At TGE, we’re dedicated to providing an inclusive, interactive, and diverse experience for all attendees. With over 500 exhibitor tables, you’ll find an incredible selection of video games, collectibles, artwork, and pop culture merchandise.

Test your skills in gaming competitions, explore our free-play arcade featuring both classic and new games, or dive into our tabletop gaming section with board games, chess tournaments, and Pokémon TCG battles.

Our Minecraft Kids Zone offers creative activities and fun challenges for young gamers, making TGE an event the whole family can enjoy!

For cosplay enthusiasts, TGE is proud to host the Cosplay Stars competition, brought to you by Cosplay 4 a Cause. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just starting out, this is the perfect stage to showcase your creativity and talent. In addition to the competition, enjoy meetups, professional photoshoots, and casual cosplay events throughout the weekend.

Meet Our Celebrity Guests

TGE brings some of the biggest names in gaming, animation, and film to meet fans, sign autographs, and participate in panels.

•  Jon St. John – The King of Retro Gaming and legendary voice of Duke Nukem. With over 45 years in the industry, his voice has been heard in World of Warcraft, Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Star Trek: Online, and countless other games.

​​

• Stephanie Panisello – Best known as Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2 & Infinite Darkness, Stephanie has worked in motion capture, voice-over, and hosting, with roles in Marvel’s What If?, Genshin Impact, and Paladins.

• Matthew G. Taylor – The actor behind Nemesis in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Matthew has also starred in The Boondock Saints 2, Pacific Rim, and Exit Wounds, bringing intense action and presence to every role.

• Reed Shannon – The voice of Ekko in Netflix’s Arcane, Reed has captivated audiences with his performances in animation, Broadway, music, and film, making him a rising star in the industry.

• Frederick B. Owens – A legendary bass voice actor, Frederick has voiced Leatherhead and Traximus in TMNT, Gol D. Roger in One Piece, and appeared in Yu-Gi-Oh, G.I. Joe Sigma 6, and Broadway productions like Jesus Christ Superstar and Smokey Joe’s Cafe.

Our Story

TGE was founded by Darby Queiser and Chris Hodgson, two lifelong gaming fans who wanted to create an event that captures the magic of gaming and brings people together.

"We do this twice a year," says Darby, "to relive the nostalgia of how gaming unites everyone."

"Toronto Game Expo was born from the best memories of my childhood, and we want to share that joy," Chris adds.

Since July 2015, Darby and Chris have also run the Barrie Game Exchange, a beloved retro game swap that has grown into a celebration of all fandoms and hobbies.
